While The Fork & Mustard has much to love, some customers mention occasional wait times during busy periods, particularly on weekends. With its growing popularity, securing a spot can be a challenge without a reservation ahead of time. Additionally, a few diners expressed a desire for a wider drink menu, especially concerning alcoholic options. The humorous banter about wine availability shows guests wish for a richer beverage selection. Some guests encounter limited indoor seating during peak hours, making the outdoor space a valuable asset while also limiting comfort during chilly days.
Lastly, parking can be tricky during busy hours despite the available paid options, which can lead to a brief search for a spot, testing the patience of hungry patrons.
stopped by The Ford & Mustard in Falkirk for brunch and really enjoyed the vibe!, the cafe is cosy and staff was friendly. We sat down quickly despite it was busy morning ordered our breakfast and I must say it was really good. The coffee was solid too, feel so relax after having such good coffee, will come back to have such great breakfast
I have been going back a few times and in meantime also brought my brother and niece who came to visit me from Belgium 😁 They managed to taste local Scottish breakfast as soon as they arrived. They also loved it!!! 🥰 I love everything about Fork and Mustard, from the service, to the foods and it’s super cosy! Staff is always super friendly, sweet and helpful :) Now, that I’ve moved to Scotland I’ll keep going to Fork and Mustard, sometimes I went on my own with a book and enjoyed my breakfast. Also, they have one of the best Chai lattes, I ever had here. So, whenever I get the chance, I’d bring my friends and family there making sure they get the taste of local Scottish foods :) So far so I had their: Flying Scotsman, their large breakfast, also had their veggie breakfasts, and their tattie scones, etc I loved all… 🤪 can’t wait to go back!
We were driving from Edinburgh to Glasgow and stopped for lunch in Falkirk. The Fork & Mustard was a spot I wanted to try. It is a really cute little cafe. When we came up, Stu, the delivery driver told us that there wasn’t any room inside, and so we sat outside. Stu was great, he suggested that I try the “Scottish Nacho’s”. Chloe, the server came out to greet us. She was a gem. My wife asked if they had any wine. Chloe laughed, and said “If we had any wine, we’d be drinking it ourselves, there’d be none left for you.” I told her that I though that Haggis was the best kept secret, she said no, it was square sausage. We said we would try that along with Toastie and Chicken sandwich. The square sausage was great, but the Scottish Nachos were one of the best things I’ve every had. I can’t recommend this place enough if you in the area.
Fantastic place for lunch. Great service. The server was lovely. Food was delicious, filling and reasonably priced.
This place is amazing, friendly helpful staff, always cheery and nothing is too much hassle. Cold filled salad rolls are delicious. This is going to be my new daily take away for lunch. Keep up the amazing work guys. ♥️
Really enjoyed the food and the friendliness of the waitstaff. Loved the quirky decor and the owner was interesting to talk to. All the locals in the restaurant were willing to provide us with valuable information which we appreciated. Excellent stop for lunch!
Actually got a delivery instead of going to the restaurant and the food was HOT when it came, wrapped in tin foil. The food was also delicious I got the Australian breakfast with potched egg and the yolk was runny perfectly cooked and very filling. They also provide loyalty cards/tickets to get you money off after a certain amount of orders, if you order threw the restaurant phone number.
